About INT
Yes, Africa can change for the best. Studies have shown that what limits people or groups from developing is their paradigm or worldview. If you change their worldview through training, then you can change your world. For Africa to change, we must change the way we view ourselves, our world, and others. Lee Kuan Yew, the late former Prime Minister who transformed Singapore wrote in his book, From Third World to First: “…. we had to train our people and equip them to provide First World standards of service. I believed this was possible, that we could re-educate and re-orientate our people with help from schools, trade unions, community centres, and social organizations…. [and] get our people to change their Third World habits”.
Both! Leaders are born and made. They are born with the seed of leadership in them which must be nurtured and groomed to maturity through coaching, teaching, training, and mentorship at appropriate times in the seasons of their lives. Therefore, technically, everybody is a potential leader at different levels of self (self-mastery), family, community, organization and nation.
The Institute is not affiliated with any government. It is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that collaborates with public, private, and other non-governmental bodies at all levels.
Leadership is all about service to God and humanity.
INT was launched in Lagos, Nigeria in September 2007.
The founder and Director General of the institute for National Transformation is Professor Vincent Anigbogu.
INT currently has bases in 8 countries of the world: Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, USA, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, and South Africa.
INT Courses
You can be trained by registering for one of the regular courses that are held at the INT training centres. Another option is by inviting the INT team to train your group or organization at your chosen location.
INT does not award degree programmes at the moment. However, those that successfully complete INT courses are awarded certificates.
The certificate is a recognition that you completed the course. It will enhance your job opportunity for an organisation looking for someone with leadership understanding. However, it does not replace your degrees.
The truth is that everyone has a role to play in nation building, though some have more to do than others in their current roles. In any given generation, there are three categories of leaders:
- Leaders in rulership;
- Support leaders in rulership; and
- Emerging leaders in the making.
For the society to progress and be sustained, these three cadres of leadership must, at all times, be effective in executing their job descriptions. Besides, fortune occurs when preparation meets opportunity. It is often too late to prepare when the opportunity has arrived.
Each national centre charges according to the standard decided by the country leadership to cover the cost for each level of courses. Please call the centre of your choice to inquire about the cost for the course you are interested in.
Leadership is a missing gap in the world today, especially in Africa. INT’s Transformational Leadership Course is an igniter that will help you see the possibility of transformation in your society. The Advanced Leadership Course takes you deeper in understanding how leadership works and how to apply the Basic Leadership principles. The Oak Seed Executive Leadership Course further changes you from inside out. It expands your capacity to understand leadership, starting with improving your values to become an effective leader and then equips you with the principles to provide effective leadership in your specific spheres of influence. It is revolutionary and an experience of a lifetime.
INT produces graduates known for their responsibility in action, integrity in character, compassion in outlook and excellence in program execution.
The application is open to anyone.
